Privacy policy

Effective September 29, 2026. MergeWorks is made by Lemnos Holdings LLC ("we"). Questions: hello@lemnosholdings.com.

The short version: MergeWorks runs inside your Google account, on Google's servers. Your sheets, templates and documents stay there. The only thing that leaves Google is your email address, sent to our license server to check whether you have Pro.

What MergeWorks reads

• The spreadsheet you open it in. The rows of the sheet you choose, and its header row. It doesn't open other spreadsheets.
• The template Doc you give it. Only that Doc, to find the placeholders and copy its content.
• Your email address, from your Google account.

All of this is processed by Google Apps Script, running as you, in your Google account. We don't receive it, copy it, or store it on our servers.

What MergeWorks creates and stores (all inside your Google account)

• A folder in your Google Drive called "MergeWorks output", and the Docs and PDFs it makes in that folder.
• Four columns in your sheet (MW Status, MW Output URL, MW Timestamp, MW Error) and a sheet called "Run log".
• Your settings for that spreadsheet (template link, column matches, file name pattern, email subject and body), saved in the spreadsheet's add-on storage. People you share the spreadsheet with who also use MergeWorks can see and use them.
• In your own add-on storage: the ID of your output folder, how many merges you've done this month, and your last license result.

Uninstalling MergeWorks doesn't delete any of this, because it's your data. You can delete the folder, the columns and the Run log sheet yourself.

Email it sends

If you turn on emailing, MergeWorks sends one email per row, from your Google account, to the addresses in the column you chose, with the subject and body you wrote and (if you chose it) the PDF attached. If "Email me when something fails" is on, it also sends you a short note when a row fails in a run you didn't start by hand. It can't read your email.

What leaves Google

Your email address. MergeWorks sends it to mergeworks.lemnosholdings.com/api/license (a small server we run on Cloudflare) to ask whether that address has a Pro subscription. The answer is yes or no. We don't store the address when you're on the free plan, and we don't turn on request logging for that server. No document content, sheet data, file names or email text is ever sent.

If you buy Pro

Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see your card number. Stripe tells us the email address you paid with and your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, and we keep those (plus whether the subscription is active) so the license check works. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what they collect at checkout.

This website

No cookies, no analytics scripts, no ads. It's hosted on Cloudflare, which handles the network traffic like any web host.

Google user data

MergeWorks's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't sell data, use it for ads, let humans read it, or use it to train AI models. The only Google user data we receive is your email address, for the license check described above.

Removing access and deleting data

• Remove MergeWorks's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• To delete your Pro record (email address and Stripe IDs) from our license server, email hello@lemnosholdings.com. We do it within 30 days. Stripe keeps payment records as the law requires.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date. If the change means more data leaves your Google account, we'll say so in the add-on before it takes effect.
